Foxes, deer, rabbits - and in between, birds of all colors and designs: it is the animals in the country and at the garden fence that fascinate the Ostereistedt artist Marion Wilk and that she likes to focus on in her paintings. In addition to colorful cows and other farm animals, the ambitious autodidact has been capturing small and large local wild animals on canvas in recent years - true to her motto "Even the smallest bird has a big life!".

Marion Wilk wants to use her paintings to promote greater appreciation of animals: "It is high time that we found a more sensitive and caring way of dealing with all these creatures. And the first step towards this is perhaps to approach them with attention, interest and sympathy!"
