SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Heart of Light – eleven songs for Fiji
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Heart of Light – eleven songs for Fiji is an accumulation of=0D=0A‘divine small things’ in everyday Fijian life and landscapes,=0D=0Awhich create in us an understanding of something greater.=0D=0A=0D=0ABy fusing intimacy and collective history, fiction and documentary,=0D=0Asocial realities and poetic inspiration Heart of Light confronts Iona=0D=0A(Tilda Swinton) during the months of her return after a long absence=0D=0Ato the islands of Fiji, where memories, an ancient culture, landscapes=0D=0Aand encounters intertwine. For Iona, who feels herself both deeply=0D=0Aattached to the islands and yet ‘an outsider’, it's an=0D=0Aintrospective and sensory journey of exploration, in a world whose=0D=0Aculture is both close and distant. It's also an opportunity to=0D=0Aquestion the identity of an Oceanian territory and the relationship to=0D=0Aits ancestral land in its own post-colonial era. In this way the film=0D=0Achallenges European notions of "post-colonialism" as an exterior,=0D=0Ahistorical event.=0D=0A=0D=0AHeart of Light – eleven songs for Fiji opens up and reveals the=0D=0Aunpredictable spirit, the Art of the Real.=0D=0A
