SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Hunky Jesus | OmU
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Jennifer M. Kroot (US, 2026, 85′)=0D=0ASprache: Englisch Untertitel: Deutsch=0D=0A=0D=0AAuf der ganzen Welt würden uns das ikonische Make-up und der=0D=0Afantasievolle Ornat auffallen, und wir würden beides sofort mit=0D=0Adiesem besonderen Orden assoziieren: den Schwestern der Perpetuellen=0D=0AIndulgenz. Wer möchte da nicht religiös werden?=0D=0A=0D=0AAll over the world, the iconic make-up with its imaginative regalia is=0D=0Aimmediately associated with the Order of the Sisters of Perpetual=0D=0AIndulgence. Yet the Sisters are more than just about drag. The Order=0D=0Ais about community, doing good, and bringing joy and hope to the=0D=0Aworld. This heartfelt documentary – shot, as it were, straight=0D=0Athrough the rainbow – gives us an insight into how it all began, who=0D=0ASister Roma is, and the difficult years that followed the group’s=0D=0Afounding in San Francisco in 1979. And then there’s an Easter=0D=0Atradition that, sadly, hasn’t yet made it across the ocean: the=0D=0Aelection of Hunky Jesus and Foxy Mary. Who wouldn’t want to become=0D=0Areligious after that?=0D=0A
