SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:MATINEE: Queen Christina | OmU
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Rouben Mamoulian (US, 1933, 97′)=0D=0ASprache: Englisch Untertitel: Deutsch=0D=0A=0D=0AQueerikone Greta Garbo als König*in Christina von Schweden, lesbar=0D=0Aals trans*, nicht-binär, lesbisch oder bi. Legendär sind Garbos Worte als=0D=0AChristina: „I shall not die an old maid! I shall die a bachelor“=0D=0A(Ich sterbe nicht als alte Jungfer – ich sterbe als Junggeselle!).=0D=0A=0D=0AAb 11.30 Uhr gibt es frisch gebrühten Kaffee und ein=0D=0AHäppchen-Frühstück. Wir danken anke-feja-biokochen.de Mit einer=0D=0AEinführung von Erika Wottrich (cinefest) und Dagmar Brunow=0D=0A(Filmwissenschaftlerin).=0D=0A=0D=0AQueer icon Greta Garbo as the queer icon Queen Christina of Sweden,=0D=0Awho could be interpreted as trans*, non-binary, lesbian or bisexual.=0D=0AThe film is based on a screenplay by Salka Viertel, Greta Garbo’s=0D=0Alover at the time, who was blacklisted in Hollywood during the=0D=0AMcCarthy political witch-hunts of the 1950s. Despite Hollywood=0D=0Aconventions, the film went on to become a classic of queer cinema. The=0D=0Afamous kissing scene between Christina and her lady-in-waiting Ebba=0D=0Awould have fallen victim to film censorship just one year later.=0D=0AGarbo’s words as Christina are legendary: “I shall not die an old=0D=0Amaid! I shall die a bachelor”.=0D=0A=0D=0AFreshly brewed coffee and a snack will be served from 11:30 am. Kind=0D=0Athanks to anke-feja-biokochen.de With an introduction by Erika=0D=0AWottrich (cinefest) and=0D=0ADagmar Brunow (film scholar)=0D=0A
