SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Midlife Crisis - Shahin Asmari
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Born in Iran, Shahin has spent most of his adult life making decisions=0D=0Athat made perfect sense to him—and absolutely no sense to anyone=0D=0Aelse. From studying English literature against all expectations, to=0D=0Aleaving a secure banking career, moving abroad, and eventually giving=0D=0Aup corporate life to pursue English stand-up comedy in Europe, he’s=0D=0Abeen swimming against the current for over a decade. Now 35, the=0D=0AIranian comedian, Shahin is calling his first special Midlife Crisis.=0D=0AWhy? Because, as he puts it, Iranians don’t have the same life=0D=0Aexpectancy as Europeans—and besides, he already had his quarter-life=0D=0Acrisis when he left Iran. This is the world premiere of an English=0D=0Acomedy special in Hamburg on October 16, before it heads on a European=0D=0Atour in 2027, making you among the very first to see it live at the=0D=0Abrand-new Kultur Palast Harburg.Whether you’ve moved to Germany,=0D=0Awrestled with visas, bureaucracy, culture shock, loneliness, or simply=0D=0Aquestioned whether you made the right life choices, you’ll see=0D=0Ayourself somewhere in Shahin’s story. And if you haven’t? You’ll=0D=0Aget a sharp, funny, and honest glimpse into what it means to build a=0D=0Anew life from scratch in a foreign country.Expect sharp observations,=0D=0Aoutrageous stories, dark humor, and heartfelt moments that speak=0D=0Aespecially to English-speaking audiences in Hamburg and=0D=0AGermany—people navigating between cultures, careers, and identities,=0D=0Aall while trying to figure life out one questionable decision at a=0D=0Atime.=0D=0A
