SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Frith-Allbee-Hodgkinson Trio, Duo Lettow-Erel
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:improvisation | contemporary | jazz | avantgarde=0D=0A=0D=0AAn encounter between three outstanding improvisational musicians who=0D=0Aunderstand sound as open territory. Guitar legend Fred Frith –=0D=0Aco-founder of Henry Cow and a defining figure in experimental music=0D=0Asince the 1970s – meets Tim Hodgkinson, a collaborator from those=0D=0Aradical beginnings and a tireless researcher at the intersection of=0D=0Aimprovisation, composition, and sound anthropology. Alongside them is=0D=0ALiz Allbee, a Berlin-based trumpeter and sound artist who transforms=0D=0Aher instrument into a vibrating resonating chamber of breath,=0D=0Aelectronics, and material experimentation. A completely improvised=0D=0Atrialogue. Raw, poetic, unpredictable.=0D=0A=0D=0AHamburg-based musician Gunnar Lettow works with a prepared bass and=0D=0Aelectronics. Following this initial collaboration, Erel and Lettow=0D=0Adecided to continue as a duo. Gunnar’s electroacoustic sounds and=0D=0AKorhan’s electronically processed field recordings and found sounds=0D=0Anow give rise to a fascinating, abstract soundscape. The result is not=0D=0Aa traditional bass-and-electronics combination, but rather a fluid=0D=0Afield of hums, vibrations, crunching textures, fleeting impulses, and=0D=0Aacoustic particles. The bass serves less as an instrument than as a=0D=0Astarting point for transformations; the electronics expand, shift, and=0D=0Afragment the material. Erel and Lettow are interested in transitions,=0D=0Africtions, and those moments in which sound, gesture, and structure=0D=0Aintertwine.=0D=0A=0D=0ADas Konzert wird präsentiert von Frequenzgänge.=0D=0A=0D=0Asupported by Jazz Moves=0D=0A
