Their=0D=0Amusic oscillates between electronically monotonic sounds, expansive=0D=0Aatmospheres, and melodic moments, combined with minimalist lyrics in=0D=0AGerman.=0D=0A=0D=0AWhen hardly anyone believed in the project, the three took matters=0D=0Ainto their own hands by learning, growing, and developing TWIN NOIR=0D=0Astep by step through their one determination in a consistent,=0D=0Aindependent, and uncompromising way. Everything is handled in house:=0D=0Afrom the music and visuals to the organization and releases via their=0D=0Aself-founded label Twin Noir Records. Together, they conceive TWIN=0D=0ANOIR as a holistic work of art, musically, visually, and conceptually.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe sound of TWIN NOIR is shaped by an analog tape machine, a sampler,=0D=0Aguitars and a theremin, through which the duo creates their own blend=0D=0Aof Punk and Wave music. Technoid beats, driving basslines, and=0D=0Aatmospheres played alternately by synthesizers and guitars create=0D=0Amoments that invite dancing, floating and drifting. The influences of=0D=0Aboth artists range from bands like KRAFTWERK and DAF to the EBM and=0D=0ATechno scenes, as well as Punk and Rock from the 70s to 90s.=0D=0A=0D=0ALive, TWIN NOIR impresses with energetic performances and danceable=0D=0Asound. Their show is inspired by Berlin‘s club culture, Punk and=0D=0AVaudeville, aiming to celebrate and manifest freedom, creativity and=0D=0Aart. The duo began performing in Berlin in 2022 and has since played=0D=0Ain 21 countries. TWIN NOIR toured across Europe, the United Kingdom,=0D=0Athe Balkans and Mexico, where they recorded half of their debut album=0D=0Ain Mexico City. Back in Europe, they completed the recordings at the=0D=0A„Portugal Recording Studio“ near Lisbon, where they also recorded=0D=0Atheir follow-up debut „2 Punks and a Tape Machine - Chapter //“ in=0D=0Asummer 2024.=0D=0A=0D=0AAmong their milestones are the presentation of three songs by Iggy Pop=0D=0Aon his BBC Radio 6 show, being listed as one of the “50 most=0D=0Apromising European artists” by the Europelive initiative, and=0D=0Aappearances at renowned festivals such as Wave-Gotik-Treffen in=0D=0ALeipzig and Extramuralhas Festival in Leiria, Portugal.
