SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Superfan ***Off The Radar Club***LIVE
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Superfan is the songwriting veil of Kali Priya Flanagan,=0D=0ABrooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, producer and prodigal son. Kali=0D=0Abegan studying music at age four and writing songs at age eleven,=0D=0Asigning his first record deal at age fourteen while refining his=0D=0Asingular musicality across piano, drums, bass, upright, and violin.=0D=0ANow twenty-one, and having just signed with London based label AD93=0D=0A(Joanne Robertson, YHWH Nailgun, Dagmar Zuniga), Superfan is set to=0D=0Arelease the sophomore album My Piledriver Heart (MPDH). The album=0D=0Amarks the birth of “Acousticello”, the extensive live=0D=0Acollaboration between Flanagan and cellist Omeed Almassi, which has=0D=0Adefined Superfan’s performances and recordings over the past two=0D=0Ayears. MPDH captures the duo’s ambitious string arrangements with=0D=0Anaturalistic intent and pop magnetism. If Superfan’s critically=0D=0Aacclaimed 2024 debut, Tow Truck Jesus [The FADER, Office, Flaunt, Alt=0D=0APress], captured the raw immediacy of emotions surrounding the throes=0D=0Aof his transition in direct and deeply personal terms, this sophomore=0D=0Aalbum operates differently. MPDH operates differently. Spanning ten=0D=0Atracks, MPDH is a mature and melancholic record that explores aspects=0D=0Aof the interpersonal and intrapersonal from the vantage point of a man=0D=0Ano longer in transition.=0D=0A=0D=0Ahttps://www.youtube.com/@superfansuperfan=0D=0Ahttps://www.instagram.com/kaliflanagan/?hl=de=0D=0A
