Luise Helmecke, founder of Kimono Club Hamburg, invites you to an entertaining talk on the history of the kimono: “Kimono Edition: The What, Why and How.” What is a kosode, and how did it evolve into the kimono? Why do women fold an ohashori when wearing one?
Join us to find out the answers to these questions and more. After the talk, we’ll gather for tea in a relaxed setting, with the chance to try on kimono or yukata together.
Doors open at around 5:30 p.m. The talk will begin between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m.
