Full Moon! – Photographs by Lars Theiß at the Bedürfnisanstalt

Hamburg and other sights in harmony with the full moon: from the Elphi to St Michael’s, from the harbour to the Telemichel, from the Köhlbrand to cruise ships and San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. The large-format photographs by a night owl, for all moon lovers, can be viewed free of charge during opening hours (weekdays 5 pm to 9 pm, weekends 3.30 pm to 8 pm) at Bleickenallee 26a. Lars Theiß’s exhibition begins on Saturday 19 September and runs until Friday 2 October 2026.

All the images on display were taken over the course of many evenings with the full moon on the horizon and are the result of patiently waiting for a clear sky. The highlights on display are from the last nine years, including some previously unseen images. It is worth noting that Lars Theiß neither composes his photographs from multiple shots nor creates them using artificial intelligence (AI). Furthermore, no elements have been removed from or added to the original photograph.
