On the occasion of the artistic research project "We are building a castle in the air", exciting artists, curators and scientists are coming together for the research workshop at the FT.
Artists and educators, teachers, researchers and free spirits are cordially invited to the research workshop.
On Saturday, September 5th, Joanna Warsza, Hamburg's city curator, will speak about her exhibition series "From the Cosmos to the Commons," which will focus on the element of air next year. Following this, Ines Moreno, a researcher from the Paris Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM), will offer insights into the history of scent as an artistic medium.
On Sunday, September 6th, we will speak with Zoe Laughlin, founder and director of the Institute of Making/UCL London, about air and wind as material agents. Afterwards, Lydia Schulze Heuling will take us on a journey through the history of knowledge.
How does our understanding of air change over time? Together, we'll visit the Air Castle in Children's Rights Square, experience various air arts, and discuss air as something that connects us to all living beings on Earth. How can we develop an art of air across generations that helps us all experience this anew?
