erfolgreich engagiert - Rhetorik-Empowerment-Training für FLINTA*
Saturday, 25/10/2025 / 11:00 AM - 05:30 PM / Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung e.V. Regionalbüro Nord
- queer friendly
This workshop is for female socialized and/or identified individuals who are socially and politically active in Bremen, Hamburg, or Schleswig-Holstein. Please indicate your involvement when registering. Please use the "Notes" field.
There is no simple "this is how you do it" in rhetoric to be truly convincing; instead, the training supports each individual in finding their own form of expression and using their strengths.
In this empowerment workshop, we will answer the following questions through physical exercises, role-playing, and free argumentation training:
- How can I strengthen myself by connecting my inner and outer attitudes, and thus clearly embody to the outside world what is important to me and what I am prepared to stand up for and fight for?
- How can I react if my counterpart or the audience tries to throw me off balance with critical looks, disinterest, questions, etc.?
- Which values are essential for me and what consequences do they have for my rhetoric?
- What gives me strength?
- How do I convince others?
The training offers a supportive, constructive, and collaborative space where everyone can try their hand at it, regardless of whether they have much or little (political) public speaking experience. Mutual encouragement, exchange, and the fun of practicing together are the focus!
Workshop leader:
Julia Lemmle, she/her - accompanying change - is a communications trainer, systemic coach, and performer. She studied history and literature and developed the "Rhetoric Empowerment Training for Women, Lesbians, Intersex, Non-Binary, Transgender (FLINTA)" in 2010. She combines critical analysis of dominant ideologies with coaching tools and bodywork to support people in (re)connecting with their own values and clearly standing up for them and themselves. She teaches at various universities, works for foundations and NGOs, and is co-founder of the "House of Change" project in Brandenburg.
