Hamburg artist Matthias Oppermann invites you to experience art in a new light. "Image Burials – Art in Dialogue with the Earth" is a project at the boundary between art and nature, between destruction and transformation: paintings were cut into fragments and then buried. After several years, they were unearthed and are now on display in the permanent archaeological exhibition. During the guided tour, artist Matthias Oppermann explains his long-term artistic project and the unique technique he used to create his works.
