SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Entrissene Welten
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:"Torn Worlds – Kaleidoscope of Memories 1952-2022," drawing on the=0D=0Abiographical experiences of director and author Franziska Jakobi and=0D=0Aenriched with the experiences of other individuals from Germany,=0D=0AUkraine, and Russia, brings to the stage formative stories of three=0D=0Agenerations in the post-Soviet space: forced resettlements in East=0D=0AGermany in the 1950s and 60s, the upheaval of the 1990s, and the war=0D=0Ain Ukraine today. Originally conceived as a three-person play in 2023,=0D=0Athis new solo version approaches the material with fresh perspectives,=0D=0Aframing personal experiences with historical facts and focusing=0D=0Aprimarily on the relationship between generations in the context of=0D=0Ahomeland and its loss under Soviet and Russian politics. A=0D=0Atheatrical-performative picture of East-West history since 1952=0D=0Aemerges, with different timelines nested within each other,=0D=0Ainterconnected, yet each with its own personal touch – just like in=0D=0Aa kaleidoscope, like in a whirlpool of memories.=0D=0A
