DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:The Norderstedt Symphonic Wind Orchestra (SBN) invites you to its=0D=0AAutumn Matinee in the Grand Hall of the Laeiszhalle. Under the baton=0D=0Aof Bernhard Volk, the 70 or so musicians will demonstrate what makes=0D=0Amodern symphonic wind music so special: a blend of enthusiasm,=0D=0Atechnical skill and a touch of adventure – ranging from lively=0D=0Arhythms to atmospheric musical tales.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe programme brings some of the scene«s highlights to the stage.=0D=0AAlongside Satoshi Yagisawa’s »Festive Overture«, the orchestra=0D=0Apresents Philip Sparkes’ »Music for a Festival«, another=0D=0Amultifaceted centrepiece of symphonic wind music. The orchestra=0D=0Astrikes an emotional note with David R. Gillingham’s »With heart=0D=0Aand voice«, whilst Alfred Reed’s »Armenian Dances« thrive on=0D=0Afolkloric enthusiasm. Lionel Beltrán-Cecilia«s »Vikings: The=0D=0ALegend« also finds its place in the programme as a gripping musical=0D=0Asaga.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe Norderstedt Symphonic Wind Orchestra is renowned for its precise=0D=0Aensemble playing and a hand-picked selection of pieces. The SBN most=0D=0Arecently demonstrated the appeal of this combination at the 2025=0D=0AGerman Orchestra Competition in Mainz and Wiesbaden: in the highest=0D=0Acategory, the ensemble secured an outstanding fourth place, officially=0D=0Aplacing it among the top German amateur wind orchestras.=0D=0A=0D=0APERFORMERS=0D=0A=0D=0ASYMPHONISCHES BLASORCHESTER NORDERSTEDT brass ensemble=0D=0A=0D=0ABERNHARD VOLK conductor=0D=0A=0D=0APROGRAM=0D=0A=0D=0ASATOSHI YAGISAWA=0D=0AFestive Overture=0D=0A=0D=0ADAVID R.
