SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Drawer Discoveries #4: Dance
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Bild / Video=0D=0A=0D=0ATeasertext=0D=0A=0D=0AIn the format “Drawer Discoveries”, the Museum für Kunst und=0D=0AGewerbe Hamburg (MK&G) presents thematic selections of remarkable=0D=0Aworks from its Graphic and Poster Collection. From 9 October 2026 to=0D=0A25 April 2027, the focus is on dance.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe exhibition features 125 works spanning more than 100 years,=0D=0Ademonstrating the many different ways in which movement can be=0D=0Arepresented. Graphic Designers capture movement in a wide variety of=0D=0Aways: through striking poses, motion blur, sequences of images or=0D=0Aabstract forms. At times, even the typography seems to dance.=0D=0APhotography and drawing, black and white and colour create very=0D=0Adifferent moods and forms of expression.=0D=0A=0D=0AAt the heart of the exhibition are posters for dance events featuring=0D=0Ainternationally renowned choreographers, including Alvin Ailey, Pina=0D=0ABausch, Jérôme Bel, Trisha Brown, Merce Cunningham, Mary Wigman and=0D=0ASasha Waltz. The display is complemented by a selection of film=0D=0Aposters and advertising images. Video sequences from well-known film=0D=0Aclassics provide additional inspiration. A quiz and a search game=0D=0Ainvite visitors to get involved – and, of course, dancing is=0D=0Aencouraged!=0D=0A
