SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Signa: Ich lüge, um zu weinen
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:SIGNA returns to NORDWIND, with its first visual art installation in=0D=0AGermany. ICH LÜGE, UM ZU WEINEN transforms the Hubertus Wald Forum at=0D=0Athe Hamburger Kunsthalle into an exhibition landscape of tableau-like=0D=0Ascenes, somewhere between an ethnographic museum and a walk-through=0D=0Afiction. Familiar everyday objects, intimate interiors and seemingly=0D=0Adocumentary arrangements create an atmosphere that is as eerie as it=0D=0Ais moving. SIGNA explores disguise and transformation as strategies of=0D=0Adeception and survival, and examines how femininity takes shape,=0D=0Ashifts and disguises itself in order to assert itself within social=0D=0Aorders. What is on display is not a fixed truth, but a field of=0D=0Aconstant flux – an intense spatial experience for museum visitors as=0D=0Awell as for fans of SIGNA’s legendary theatrical worlds. As early as=0D=0A2007, the Danish-Austrian performance duo was part of NORDWIND=0D=0Aprogramme in Berlin – shortly before their international=0D=0Abreakthrough. Since then, SIGNA has been one of the leading names in=0D=0Aimmersive theatre on the international stage and was celebrated by=0D=0Aaudiences in Hamburg with five productions at the Deutsches=0D=0ASchauspielhaus.SIGNA is a Copenhagen-based artistic collective founded=0D=0Aby Signa and Arthur Köstler. Since 2001, the collective has developed=0D=0Aimmersive performance installations, evolving from the works of Signa=0D=0ASørensen (now Köstler). SIGNA creates site-specific performances in=0D=0Anon-traditional art spaces, working with international ensembles to=0D=0Adevelop fully immersive endurance installations. Combining=0D=0Aperformance, installation, improvisation, and highly curated visual=0D=0Aenvironments, their works explore structures of power and degradation,=0D=0Aidentity, desire, fate, and social relations.Beyond the festival=0D=0Aperiod, the exhibition will remain on view at the Kunsthalle through=0D=0AJanuary 3.=0D=0A
