SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:»diasporAsa« – Konzert
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:»diasporAsa« – the name of this concert format evokes the=0D=0Aexistence of religious, cultural and ethnic communities in a »foreign=0D=0Aland«, where people leave their traditional homeland and become=0D=0Adispersed across large parts of the world. The concept of diaspora is=0D=0Ainextricably linked to Jewish history in particular. This musical=0D=0Acycle explores the search for resonance and the ongoing struggle to=0D=0Adefine »one’s own« cultural identity – driven by the desire to=0D=0Alisten to one another and to discover in this an opportunity for=0D=0Apeaceful cultural and religious coexistence that connects people of=0D=0Adifferent religions, cultures and generations, despite their=0D=0Adifferences, rather than separating them.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe performance of »diasporAsa« is preceded on 23 October by a=0D=0Aworkshop at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama=0D=0A[https://www.elbphilharmonie.de/en/whats-on/diasporasa-workshop/29243],=0D=0Awhere participants can work artistically with the asambura ensemble on=0D=0Athe questions at the heart of the project.=0D=0A=0D=0APERFORMERS=0D=0A=0D=0AASAMBURA ENSEMBLE ensemble=0D=0A
