SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Niemannsland On The 6th Floor . Sabine Niemann . Paintings and=0D=0ADrawings
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Sabine Niemann’s works explore themes ranging from the city, the=0D=0Aharbor, and the landscape to the very edge of abstraction—spanning=0D=0Afrom Köhlbrand to the North Sea, from backyards to Hagenbeck. Her=0D=0Acasual, spontaneous acrylic paintings, drawings, and sketches depict=0D=0Apeople, animals, and objects in characteristic poses—from soccer=0D=0Aplayers to sloths, from abandoned places to good-for-nothing dogs. In=0D=0Aa delightful way, the images unsettle the viewer with their relaxed,=0D=0Aoften humorous approach. They are all characterized by the visibility=0D=0Aof the gestural creative process—including traces of all kinds. The=0D=0Afocus is on energy and materiality, and on the subtle glow of colors=0D=0Aand moments.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe diverse exhibition, comprising around 90 works, is on view on the=0D=0A6th floor of Block X in the Speicherstadt (elevator), a special=0D=0Alocation where the view of the paintings blends with that of the canal=0D=0Aand the Wasserschlösschen.=0D=0A=0D=0AFree entrance.=0D=0A
