SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Do You Love Me
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:There is no national archive in Lebanon, and the country’s recent=0D=0Ahistory is not taught in schools. »In a place like Lebanon, where the=0D=0Agovernment repeatedly lets us down, it is journalists, writers,=0D=0Amusicians and filmmakers who document history,« says director Lana=0D=0ADaher, whose film »Do You Love Me« has created a remarkable=0D=0Ahistorical collage of Lebanon between war and pop music, destruction=0D=0Aand resilience. =0D=0ADrawing on more than 20,000 audio and visual sources, the film creates=0D=0Aa kind of collective memory of Lebanon from the 1970s to the present=0D=0Aday, weaving together private videos, documentaries and feature films.=0D=0ARather than following a chronological narrative, »Do You Love Me«=0D=0Ajuxtaposes images in an associative way, portraying a country that has=0D=0Adeveloped a remarkable resilience. The film thus offers the perfect=0D=0Aintroduction to the »Lebanon« festival=0D=0A[https://www.elbphilharmonie.de/en/festivals/lebanon/2653] at the=0D=0AElbphilharmonie, which showcases the country’s rich musical culture=0D=0Afrom 29 October to 1 November.=0D=0A=0D=0AElbphilharmonie PLUS=0D=0A[https://www.elbphilharmonie.de/en/whats-on/epplus/] is a programme=0D=0Athat opens up different ways of looking at the music performed at the=0D=0AElbphilharmonie – either to supplement a concert, or as an=0D=0Aexperience in its own right. Interdisciplinary encounters and=0D=0Aexhibitions form part of the Elbphilharmonie PLUS programme, as do=0D=0Aconcert talks and films shown in museums, libraries, cinemas and=0D=0Acommunity centres.=0D=0A
