SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Bergedorfer Kammerchor / Ahrensburger Kammerorchester / Frank Löhr
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:An iconic opening, an entire universe: Beethoven’s=0D=0A»Schicksalssinfonie« is far more than its famous motif—it is an=0D=0Aemotional journey from darkness to light. Mozart’s deeply personal=0D=0AMass in C minor follows a similar path, standing as one of the most=0D=0Asignificant works of its kind. Though left incomplete, this remarkable=0D=0Asetting of the Mass continues to move audiences today with its direct=0D=0Aexpressive power. In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the=0D=0ABergedorfer Kammerchor, these masterpieces come together for a special=0D=0Aconcert experience. The choir is joined by the Ahrensburger=0D=0AKammerorchester—a musical partnership that has thrived successfully=0D=0Afor over two decades.=0D=0A=0D=0ASince its founding in 1946 by Hellmut Wormsbächer, the Bergedorf=0D=0AChamber Choir has had a firm place in the cultural life of Hamburg and=0D=0Anorthern Germany. The approximately 35 singers are dedicated to=0D=0Asecular and sacred choral literature from all eras. The carefully=0D=0Aselected pieces ensure a harmonious overall concept that spans each=0D=0Aconcert. =0D=0A=0D=0AThe versatility and high vocal standard of the Bergedorf Chamber Choir=0D=0Aare maintained through regular rehearsals and several rehearsal=0D=0Aweekends each year, as well as professional vocal coaching. In=0D=0Acollaboration with Frank Löhr, the Bergedorf Chamber Choir is=0D=0Aundergoing continuous vocal and artistic development, promising=0D=0Ainteresting and high-quality choral music.=0D=0A=0D=0AFrank Löhr studied conducting, piano, composition, and historical=0D=0Aperformance practice in Hamburg and supplemented his studies with=0D=0Acourses with Mathias Husmann (conducting), Bob van Asperen=0D=0A(harpsichord), and Menahem Pressler (piano), among others. He worked=0D=0Aas an opera conductor and répétiteur in Bayreuth, Munich, Frankfurt,=0D=0Aand Nuremberg and received invitations to Tokyo, St. Petersburg,=0D=0AAnnecy, Ascona, Valencia, Milan, as well as to the Jacques Offenbach=0D=0AFestival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, and the Munich Music=0D=0ATheater Biennale. He owes formative influences to his collaborations=0D=0Awith Zubin Mehta, Jessye Norman, Joana Mallwitz, Simon Halsey, Enrique=0D=0AMazzola, Andrew Manze, Giuseppe Sinopoli, the Israel Philharmonic=0D=0AOrchestra, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Magdeburg=0D=0APhilharmonic, the NDR Vocal Ensemble, the Lüneburg and Hamburg=0D=0ASymphony Orchestras, and the Hamburg Camerata. His work is=0D=0Acharacterized by the often collage-like combination of different=0D=0Astyles with new compositions.=0D=0A=0D=0APERFORMERS=0D=0A=0D=0ABERGEDORFER KAMMERCHOR chamber choir=0D=0A=0D=0AAHRENSBURGER KAMMERORCHESTER chamber orchestra=0D=0A=0D=0ACATHERINA WITTING soprano=0D=0A=0D=0AFIONA LUISA soprano=0D=0A=0D=0AMICHAEL CONNAIRE tenor=0D=0A=0D=0ALUCIANO LODI bass=0D=0A=0D=0AFRANK LÖHR conductor=0D=0A=0D=0APROGRAM=0D=0A=0D=0AJOHANNES BRAHMS=0D=0ASchicksalslied for Choir and Orchestra, Op. 54=0D=0A=0D=0ALUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN=0D=0ASymphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67=0D=0A=0D=0A- Interval -=0D=0A=0D=0AWOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART=0D=0AGreat Mass in C minor, K.427=0D=0A
