Gaspár Ali reflect on the=0D=0Apresent, make it audible, and attempt to change it. The EP thus consciously connects to formative political and=0D=0Ahistorical events and translates them into a contemporary context.=0D=0ATheir songs combine personal perspectives with social observations,=0D=0Acreating a space where individual experiences and collective memory=0D=0Acollide. Their first EP, "EDELWEIẞ" (Edelweiss), already hinted at=0D=0Athis exploration – "PIRATEN" takes it further. Musically, the band=0D=0Aalso navigates this tension, translating their "pressure on their=0D=0Achest" into a sound that blends energetic post-punk with funky=0D=0Aelements.=0D=0A=0D=0AWith their first single, "NEUMARKT," the band focuses on a central=0D=0Alocation in Cologne, a daily traffic hub for many and simultaneously a=0D=0Areflection of social reality. The starting point is singer Don L.=0D=0AGaspár Ali's personal connection to this place, which he has known=0D=0Asince his school days. "I changed trains there every day to get to=0D=0Aschool. I used to feel like the people there were just older – now=0D=0Ait seems like they're getting younger and younger," he describes. A=0D=0Anarrative emerges between memories and the present. The song=0D=0Atransforms these observations into a direct image of urban and=0D=0Asocietal change. Musically, this perspective coalesces into a close=0D=0Aconnection between lyrics and instrumental – raw, honest, and=0D=0Adeliberately reduced to the essentials.
