SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Ljuzem's Walk in Hamburg
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Mobile presentation in public space. The exact starting point will be=0D=0Aannounced here later.=0D=0A=0D=0A“Ljuzem’s Walk” is a performative, mobile work, choreographed=0D=0Aand performed by Ljuzem Madiljin, dancer and artistic director of the=0D=0ATjimur Dance Theatre from Taiwan. The performance has evolved over=0D=0Amore than a decade as a personal and healing journey. As an artist=0D=0Afrom the Paiwan people, an indigenous group of Taiwan, her work=0D=0Acontinuously explores identity and belonging, and grapples with the=0D=0Amany roles and expectations of modern life.=0D=0A=0D=0AOn her journey through the city, Ljuzem Madiljin senses echoes of=0D=0Aindigenous struggle and resistance. She recalls social control and=0D=0Adiscipline, as well as stories of solidarity, women's liberation, and=0D=0Acollective strength. Through the open and responsive form of dance,=0D=0Ashe creates a space for listening, feeling, and sharing, where the=0D=0Apersonal and the collective, the urban and the spiritual, converge.=0D=0ALjuzem Madiljin invites the audience to rediscover both the city and=0D=0Athemselves, to listen to the voices that still resonate within its=0D=0Awalls, and to share a space between past, present, and future.=0D=0A=0D=0ALjuzem Madiljin studied dance at Tainan University of Technology and=0D=0Aat the Department of Cultural and Creative Industries at National=0D=0APintung University. After graduating, she returned to her home village=0D=0Aof Tjimur in Pingtung, where she began her career teaching and=0D=0Aperforming. In 2006, Ljuzem Madiljin founded the Tjimur Dance Theatre,=0D=0Athe first contemporary dance company in Taiwan, dedicated to=0D=0Apresenting and promoting the aesthetics and philosophy of ancient=0D=0APaiwan culture. She developed the first teaching system for=0D=0Acontemporary Paiwan dance, exploring breath techniques for singing and=0D=0Adancing, as well as the contemporary physical training of the Paiwan,=0D=0Aknown as the Tjimur Technique. For Ljuzem Madiljin, it is a lifelong=0D=0Acommitment to help indigenous children return to their homeland. This=0D=0Aled her to establish the first professional dance company in Pingtung=0D=0Aand to perform in many indigenous villages, sharing her passion and=0D=0Ainspiring wider audiences in southern Taiwan.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe performance is made possible with the kind support of the Ministry=0D=0Aof Culture of Taiwan and in cooperation with the city curator of=0D=0AHamburg.=0D=0A
