The week will culminate in a grand concert featuring=0D=0Aall the young guitarists on June 27th, 2026, at the Kultur Palast=0D=0AHamburg.=0D=0A=0D=0AGuitar Billstedt | The passion for nurturing young musical talent=0D=0Aamong children and teenagers, and the firm belief that all children=0D=0Acan develop equally when given the same opportunities, inspired the=0D=0A"Guitar Billstedt" project. In 2018, the Kultur Palast Hamburg, the=0D=0ASt. Paulus and Am Schleemer Park schools, and GitarreHamburg.de gGmbH=0D=0A(a non-profit limited liability company) combined their expertise in=0D=0Aeducation and cultural outreach to establish a functioning orchestral=0D=0Aprogram and sustainable, successful instrumental instruction for=0D=0Achildren and teenagers. Since then, children have had the opportunity=0D=0Ato receive free guitar lessons and play in guitar orchestras.=0D=0AInstruments are also provided free of charge.=0D=0A=0D=0ASuccesses | Numerous prizewinners of the "Jugend musiziert"=0D=0Acompetition have emerged from the project, the junior guitar orchestra=0D=0A"JGOH-Juniorteam Ost" won a prize at the 2024 State Orchestra=0D=0ACompetition "Orchestrale," and the children and young people involved=0D=0Ain the project have garnered attention through exciting concert=0D=0Aperformances. This support for young talent is=0D=0Acomplemented by concerts, courses, and workshops as part of the=0D=0AHamburg Guitar Days and the Hamburg Guitar Festival. At the heart of=0D=0Aits work with young musicians is the Hamburg Youth Guitar Orchestra=0D=0A(JGOH), which brings together Hamburg's best young guitarists.
