SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Blutiger Boden. Die Tatorte des NSU
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:An exhibition with photographs by Regina Schmeken=0D=0A=0D=0ASüleyman Taköprü was murdered on June 27, 2001, in his grocery=0D=0Astore on Schützenstraße in Altona by terrorists of the National=0D=0ASocialist Underground (NSU). He was one of ten victims of a brutal=0D=0Aseries of attacks perpetrated by right-wing extremists in eight German=0D=0Acities between 2000 and 2007. The victims were nine men of Turkish and=0D=0AGreek descent, as well as a policewoman. Two bomb attacks carried out=0D=0Aby the NSU in Cologne also left many injured, including seriously=0D=0Ainjured. The crimes, which remained hidden for a long time, left deep=0D=0Ascars on society.=0D=0A=0D=0APhotographer Regina Schmeken visited the NSU crime scenes in 2013 and=0D=0A2015/2016. Her large-format black-and-white photographs capture the=0D=0Adisturbing normality of these scenes of hatred and violence in the=0D=0Aheart of German cities. Through her camera, they become silent=0D=0Atestimonies to the crimes that took place there.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe exhibition title refers to the National Socialist propaganda=0D=0Aslogan "Blood and Soil" and thus to the ideological background of the=0D=0Aright-wing extremists. Thus, the exhibition not only becomes an=0D=0Aartistic exploration of the NSU, but also a warning monument against=0D=0Aracism and right-wing extremism in the present.=0D=0A=0D=0AWith this exhibition, the Altona Museum commemorates the series of=0D=0Amurders of Enver imek, Abdurrahim Özüdoru, Süleyman Taköprü,=0D=0AHabil Klç, Mehmet Turgut, smail Yaar, Theodoros Boulgarides, Mehmet=0D=0AKubak, Halit Yozga and Michèle Kiesewetter, which began 25 years ago=0D=0Awith the murder of Enver imek in 2000.=0D=0A=0D=0AJune 27, 2026, marks the 25th anniversary of the murder of 31-year-old=0D=0ASüleyman Taköprü, which took place in the immediate vicinity of the=0D=0AAltona Museum.=0D=0A
