In the town center, with its size of 4.7 hectares is the Heider Marktplatz. On a fixed sub-area, the weekly market is held here as a public institution of the town of Heide, with the following opening hours:
Saturdays from 07:00 to 13:00
If the 24th and 31st of December, on a working day, the market is also carried out on these days.
Up to 140 market buyers, many of them self-employed, offer their goods. In addition to fresh fish, meat, cheese, bakery products, eggs, fruit, vegetables, flowers, agricultural products and daily necessities, there is also a small poultry market during the summer months.
Various snacks, fish and drinks are provided for the physical well-being.
