The outstanding soloist of the matinee concert is Austrian tenor Andreas Schager, one of the most sought-after Wagner interpreters of our time. With his powerful voice, incomparable expressiveness, and stage presence, he is one of the world’s leading heroic tenors.

Engagements at the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and the Bayreuth Festival attest to his international reputation. In Hamburg, he will perform famous arias from operas by Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner.
