When soul music bursts forth from the depths of the soul like molten lava from a volcano, that’s when we’re talking about The Volcanoes. With their explosive motto ‘Hot and dirty’, this band of top musicians from Hamburg sets off a musical fireworks display of passionate soul, Motown and funk, bringing great legends such as Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, James Brown and Sam Cooke back to life. Volkan Baydar, a chart-topping star of the analogue era and the distinctive voice of the Hamburg cult duo Orange Blue, has fulfilled a long-cherished dream by founding “The Volcanoes”.
