When Jana is discharged from hospital after her nervous breakdown, her worried husband Dirk takes her to an old farmhouse to recover - far away, in the middle of nowhere. Not the best choice, because even on arrival the emotionally fragile woman is plagued by an uneasy feeling. Then Dirk's eccentric sister turns up, who quickly takes him and the house for herself. Further unsettled by the ghost stories that the amiable landlord Knut likes to tell during his visits, reality begins to blur with fantasy for Jana. More and more she begins to doubt her sanity as inexplicable, frightening events take their course that night.

The suspenseful comedy thriller I'll be back before Midnight is Canadian playwright Peter Colley's most successful play to date and has been performed in over 31 countries since its premiere in 1979. Mixed with a large portion of comedy, the gripping play takes its audience from surprising moments of shock to relieved laughter to an unexpected ending. No more can be revealed ..
