Be it the Trio di Trieste or the Vienna Haydn Competition, the Osaka or Melbourne Chamber Music Competition or, most recently, the ARD Competition - Trio Pantoum has always been among the prizewinners. The name of the ensemble refers to an originally Malay verse form of interwoven quatrains. Weaving the (often) four-movement works of the repertoire into a poetic unity is also the programmatic aim of the musicians, who are based in France.
