THEATRE NIGHT HAMBURG 2025
There will be theater again!
This year, Theaternacht Hamburg will once again kick off the new season with a diverse program that will whet your appetite for theater. On September 13, 2025, around 30 Hamburg theaters will open their doors and offer exclusive insights into their productions, ensembles, and venues.
With over 200 program items – including staged previews, backstage tours, discussions with artists, participatory formats, and specials for families – Hamburg once again proves itself to be one of Germany's most exciting theater cities.
Our Theater Night program:
STEFANIE HEMPEL'S BEATLES SHOW
At the Theaternacht, Stefanie will present an excerpt from her show featuring the most beautiful Beatles songs and stories from the Fab Four's wild early days in St. Pauli. Come along and sing along! Hempel's Beatles show is interactive, and participation is highly encouraged!
Stefanie Hempel is a musician, singer-songwriter, and the creator of the Beatles Tour in Hamburg. For 20 years, she has been leading fans from all over the world through Hamburg's red-light district of St. Pauli, playing a small ukulele. Her musical tour is a journey to St. Pauli in the 1960s, to a world of sailors, barmaids, mud wrestlers, rockers, and "exis"—to where, according to John Lennon, the Beatles "came of age" and developed into a professional live band.
“The greatest Beatles tour of all time” MTV UK
“A magical musical tour” LA Times
