SPRING BREAK RESIDENCY
Tuesday, 21/04/2026 / 07:00 PM / Kampnagel (K32)
The Spring Break Residency is a program for young choreographers from Hamburg, inviting them to spend the spring in the studios of K3 to let new ideas sprout.
After two weeks of rehearsals, they present the results of their short residency in a showing. The choreographers can try things out in a professional setting and work on their own themes. This year's guests are Sakshi Jain and Rodolpho Sagbo, who both studied at the Contemporary Dance School Hamburg.
Sakshi explores the concept of home across different languages and cultures, seeking out the rhythms found in the spaces in between. The projections are by Mayur Revenna, and the music is by Homero Alonso and Hêja Netirk.
Rodolpho combines African rituals with digital sound to create a transitional space between memory, technology, and contemporary identity. Rodolpho dances with Edwin E. Sanchez; the interactive music design is by Giovanni Dinello, and the sound design and performance are by Rahel Jenny Egger.
The studio is only accessible by stairs
