Thomas Marek Trio brings together contemporary jazz and tap dance in a unique, fully improvised concert experience. Drummer and tap dancer Thomas Marek, transforms rhythm into movement, using his entire body as a percussive instrument rooted deeply in the jazz tradition.
At the piano, Patrick Bebelaar, one of Germany’s most acclaimed jazz pianists, contributes a powerful, expressive language shaped by virtuosity, avant-garde techniques, and a deep respect for tradition. On double bass, Jan Roder, a leading figure of the European improvisation scene, anchors and challenges the music with raw energy, clarity, and freedom.
Together, the trio dissolves conventional song forms and creates an intense, living dialogue of sound and movement—driven by interaction, risk, and the joy of spontaneous creation. Take your dancing shoes if you feel like it. The entry is free.
