Water safety concerns us all – that's why the "Safe Swimming" campaign week makes it a family affair. In three coordinated but independent programs, children and parents learn how to move safely and enjoyably in the swimming pool.
During "Safe Swimming Week," various courses and lectures are offered at the Badlantic swimming pool. In the "Self-Rescue for Children" course, children aged 9 and up practice important self-rescue techniques with the German Lifesaving Association (DLRG). The lecture "Learning to Swim Safely with Children" gives parents practical tips on how they can support their children in learning to swim. Additionally, there is a parent-child course where children aged 5 to 10, accompanied by an adult, learn the basics of safe swimming.
