School construction conference: Learning space laboratory 2026

Jointly organized by the Architecture and Interior Design courses in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Child Day Care M-V

The second School Construction Conference at the Faculty of Design at Wismar University of Applied Sciences is planned for Friday, April 10, 2026, and will build on the tried-and-tested format of the Learning Space Lab from 2023.

The School Construction Conference is aimed at architects, school authorities, educators, teachers and decision-makers from administration and local authorities who work in the field of education. Anyone interested in and committed to designing future-oriented learning environments is also invited to attend.

The aim is to develop concrete recommendations for action for everyday professional life by means of interdisciplinary specialist lectures and interactive formats - such as moderated workshops, exchange of experience, concept development, presentations and discussions. Against the backdrop of the new school construction program "MV-Plan 2035 - Sustainable Educational Landscape" from 2026, impulses will be given to think ahead in terms of space and content for education in the 21st century.
