Rolando Villazón is not only a world-class tenor but also a dedicated admirer of Mozart. He loves to perform the ingenious Austrian composer’s works and is currently on tour performing a series of arias and scenes from Mozart’s most well-known operas in a joyous celebration of Viennese Classicism. Music from »The Magic Flute«, »Idomeneo« and »La Clemenza di Tito« will be interspersed with instrumental pieces played by the fresh, new Baroque ensemble PRJCT Amsterdam. Founded in 2017 by countertenor Maarten Engeltjes, this group of young musicians has taken the world of Baroque music by storm. With imaginative programming and exciting projects in collaboration with experienced, internationally established soloists, they are already welcome guests at many of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls.
