This stunning new arrangement of Mozart's Requiem, created by Robert Wiremu, is brought to life by the acclaimed VOICES New Zealand Chamber Choir and the Orchester im Treppenhaus under the direction of Dr. Karen Grylls.

This unique concert experience preserves the virtuosic yet intimate atmosphere of the original—but with a fresh new perspective and influences from Mori musical traditions. Inspired by Aotearoa and Antarctica, the work explores motifs of flight, birdsong, landscape, and nature, addressing a national tragedy in New Zealand's history, balancing classical requiem with Indigenous mourning ritual.
