A participatory theatre parkour for ages 6 and up

A giant boxing ring moves through the room, and we're standing right in the middle of it. Three animals are preparing for a boxing tournament and are taking us with them to circuit training and to the punching bag. Are those boxing gloves we're wearing, or pillows? What animal do you become when you fight? How do we move to the rhythm of the fighting sounds—hu, ha, his? Why is it advantageous to wear large feathers for wrestling? And what is your favorite feeling when wrestling? We love to fight, wrestle, and roughhouse. Fighting plays an important role in our everyday lives. Wrestling is fun, but hurting each other is not. And we ask ourselves, what are the prerequisites for a euphoric, fun fight?

RAUFKREISEN addresses the topic of fighting as an experience of strength and weakness, boundaries and boundary violations, as well as consent and withdrawal. Together with our viewers, we want to determine how we want to wrestle, explore what's fun about wrestling, and how we can take care of ourselves and our wrestling partners verbally and nonverbally. In doing so, we'll ask ourselves: Which children are encouraged when they fight? Who is perceived as aggressive, and who is encouraged? And what role do gender and racism play in this? For whom does it mean something to empower themselves and stop putting up with everything? Let's develop a wrestling utopia together!
