The court marshal's head is spinning, the masked ball is just around the corner and the preparations are never-ending! The guards are grumbling, they're hungry, they've only had soup to eat for a week. Guard Hans doesn't feel his empty stomach, he only has eyes for Anna. Anna dreams of attending the court ball, but a chambermaid is not allowed to do so. But there are a few surprises at the masked ball in the castle. And the Petermännchen certainly has a hand in it.
