Tuesday, 27.05.2025 at 3.30 pm "Offspring at the Zoo " by Sophie Schoenwald At the picture book cinema, children look at the pictures of a picture book together on a screen while the story is read to them. The children can experience imaginative and exciting stories together, discover details in the pictures and answer questions. In this way, they learn how to handle books, listen to and understand stories and are introduced to literature and reading in a playful way. All picture book cinemas are free of charge, start at 3:30 pm and last approx. 15 minutes. They are suitable for children aged 4 to 6.

It's spring and there's a new baby at the zoo! But the baby chameleon has escaped and Ignaz the Peppermint Hedgehog has to find it. Not so easy, as it can disguise itself pretty darn well ... And the other baby animals also need Ignaz's help: the little anteater doesn't like ants, the baby seal doesn't want to swim and the little flamingo keeps falling over in his sleep. It's a good thing Ignaz always has a solution - he just can't find the baby chameleon. Until he makes a surprising discovery ... (Publisher's note)

The others hesitate and don't want to get their fur wet, but by then the squirrel has already jumped off the shore with a splash. While the friends fish their high-spirited squirrel back out of the lake, they also enjoy the cool water and it isn't long before they are all splashing around happily in the water together. The summer day ends with a wonderful surprise for everyone. (Publisher's text)
