Paul Schwer - Tube no. 3 - Tower no. 7

Sculptures with colored Plexiglas provide a great contrast to the open church interior.

The expansive structures by Paul Schwer (born 1951 in Hornberg in the Black Forest) have an enormous emotional impact. Diversely shaped colored Plexiglas creates a contrast to the open church space of St. Georgen. Especially in the slowly brightening months, the strong colors of the works by the Düsseldorf artist form a counterpart to the slowly blossoming season and the red brickwork of the church. This is not about adaptation and harmonization, but about an appropriate relationship of tension.
