Classical Music
Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León / Milo Karadagli / Thierry Fischer
Monday, 07/10/2024 / 08:00 PM - 10:00 PM / Elbphilharmonie (Großer Saal)
Unfortunately, Pepe Romero had to cancel his participation in the concert at short notice due to an acute case of illness in his family. Thankfully, Milo Karadagli has spontaneously agreed to stand in for him and take over the solo part in Joaquín Rodrigo’s »Concierto de Aranjuez«. The programme can therefore remain unchanged.
Milo Karadagli, known as Milo, is one of the best classical guitarists in the world. His breakthrough came in 2011 with his debut album »Mediterraneo«, which became an international bestseller. Milo is intensively committed to expanding the repertoire of the classical guitar. His new album »Baroque« (2023) presents baroque works arranged for guitar, partly solo and partly in collaboration with Jonathan Cohen and his ensemble Arcangelo. He also devotes himself to contemporary music, as can be heard on the album »The Moon and the Forest«, which contains premiere recordings of works by Howard Shore and Joby Talbot.
