the action day "Open Gardens" takes place. More than 100 private gardens
and show gardens in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern open their doors to visitors.
On the second weekend of June attract open gardens
The garden is calling. Or rather: the gardens.
On June 10 and 11, 2023, garden enthusiasts across the country will keep the garden gates wide open. "Open gardens" will beckon from the coast to the lake district, from the Elbe to the Polish border. It is the first of two Open Gardens weekends this year. The second is on the calendar on September 30 and October 1, 2023, when the gardens bloom in their autumn colors.
Now is only time to enjoy the early summer dress. Those who would like to set out on the tour into the green can find the list of all participants here on the website, and further information is available at the tourist information offices. And as every year, guests can look forward to a colorful bouquet of garden art: How about a visit to the palm and exotic gardens? At Hosta, medicinal herbs and perennials? In the cottage garden, water garden, garden of stones? Many gardens also participate in the green dates this year.
The third event, in addition to the two weekends of open gardens on August 12, 2023, is the Summer Night of Gardens with flowers, culture and individual events in each garden.
With so much garden happiness, one thing nevertheless remains important: hygiene rules. The members of the organizing association "Open Gardens in MV" ask all visitors to observe corona precautions such as distance rules. A thank you goes to the state marketing MV for the support and all participants who have kept faith with the action even in difficult Corona times.
