A walk is just a walk at first. But if you leave your phone in your pocket and really go for a walk, suddenly more happens. You're not just out and about, you're really there.
It's not about experiencing something special, but about perceiving the moment as it is. Clear and direct.
Outside, it is often easier for us to quiet our minds a little. The mindful walk begins consciously with the walk itself: We focus our attention on the steps, the contact with the ground and the natural rhythm of the movement.
From there, we gradually expand our perception and invite our senses into the presence of the moment.
In doing so, we cultivate an open and curious attitude. Without a goal, without any aspirations. We notice what shows up and remain calm and present.
No big deal, just a mindful walk.
