With »Catch & Release«, Matt Simons has already achieved something at the beginning of his career that many artists work towards in vain their entire lives: To create a track that will not only outlast him, but in a way has already made him a legend in his own lifetime. The wonderfully withdrawn, emotional indie song was the title track of his second album »Catch & Release«, which Matt Simons released just two years after his debut album »Pieces« (2014). The artist made a name for himself with the album, particularly in Europe.
When the DJ team from Deepend became aware of the captivating title track and dressed »Catch & Release« in a house guise, the song landed in high chart positions worldwide overnight. That was almost a decade ago now. Many years in which Matt Simons continued to work on his emotionally charged, guitar-driven indie design and only further cemented the status he had already achieved earlier in his career with the subsequent works »After The Landslide« (2019) and »Identity Crisis« (2022).
