An evening full of subtle humour, sharp wit and the timeless art of observation awaits the audience when two of the most renowned actors in German-language television and theatre, Senta Berger and Friedrich von Thun, immerse themselves in the humorous world of Loriot. Under the title »Scenes from a Marriage«, they present a selection of trenchant sketches, dialogues and texts about the eternal mystery between husband and wife – masterfully written by the unforgotten Vicco von Bülow alias Loriot.
With their unmistakable voices, subtle irony and a great sense of comedic timing, Senta Berger and Friedrich von Thun bring Loriot’s married couples, relationship crises and everyday absurdities to life at the highest level. The typical Loriot characters – as exaggerated as they are human – show how close the tragicomic often is to the real.
The reading will be accompanied by Maria Reiter’s virtuoso accordion, which will provide a musical frame and atmospheric accompaniment to the evening. The music sets accentuated nuances that underline Loriot’s subtle humour and transform the literary evening into an atmospherically dense overall experience.
