About the play: No king is good enough for the beautiful princess to marry. Every suitor is rejected by the princess with sharp remarks and haughty mockery. But one day she meets one who won't stand for it: King Thrushbeard.
Disguised as a beggar, he arrives at the court of her ruthless father and wins the princess's hand. Instead of splendor and palace, the princess now faces a humble hut, hard work, and many trials.
