In a rousing concert, the Wellblech brass quartet, together with actress Kristin Lenhardt, brings Hamburg's history to life through music.
The Wellblech brass quartet was formed in 2021 during the Hamburg Cultural Summer. Connected by long-standing friendship, studies, and teaching at the Hamburg Conservatory, the four musicians shape their sound with closeness and passion. Their repertoire ranges from early music and classical to jazz, pop, and film music—in a lineup of two trumpets, tenor trombone, and bass trombone. In 2024, Wellblech developed a concert for elementary school children for the Hamburg music education program "JeKi - Every Child an Instrument," conveying the fascination of brass instruments.
Admission to the children’s concert is free.
The children's concert takes place as part of the 10th Great Brass Day of the North German Brass Works, which will be held on October 11 and 12 at the Hamburg Conservatory.
