The economic miracle does not automatically mean prosperity for everyone.

The childless retired couple August and Ida Bodendiek are not exactly blessed with wealth - there is simply "keen Utkamen mit't Inkamen".

But instead of despairing, one simply has to make a virtue of necessity: a lodger is needed! Ida favors a male, August naturally a female! A newspaper ad grants both their wishes, just not in the way either of them imagines. A deal is agreed, a handshake is exchanged, and the living room is doubly rented! Chaos is already brewing...

Arguments, flying flowerpots, and all sorts of other big and small entanglements guarantee a delightful entertainment.
