Alsterdorf celebrates Thanksgiving. The traditional potato feast organized by the Evangelische Stiftung Alsterdorf invites you to discover, play and feast.
The potato feast begins with the Thanksgiving service at 11 a.m. on the market square in the fresh air. The service with Holy Communion is supported by an induction loop for people with hearing impairments, so that what is being said goes directly into the hearing aid or implant.
There is a lot on offer for the potato feast: First and foremost, the straw bale castle is THE opportunity for little and big rascals to really let off steam. For quieter moments, there are also craft opportunities available - for example in the culture kitchen with mini-seitz or at the NABU stand. At the NABU stand and the bee stand, there is also all sorts of things to learn about animals in the city and in the country.
The herbal fairy and the barrel organ player will transport you to another time. And by slowing down, you can concentrate on what is really important: food.
Of course, there are all kinds of potato delicacies to accompany the potato feast. There is also wild bratwurst or pumpkin soup, served by Haus 5 or Wildglück. Waffles are also a must.
The potato feast is supported by Hamburg Airport, who will be on site with a photo booth. Come to the Alsterdorfer Market for autumnal moments and capture them in a photo with your loved ones.
